Caring for your Cushion

Following these care instructions will ensure your cushion stands the test of time.

1. Unzip and remove the cushion insert before washing the cover.

2. Wash cover in cold water - hand or machine wash.

3. DO NOT Bleach. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat in the shade.

Spills and spot cleaning

Important: First, test the cleaning method on a hidden area of the sofa. If you see a change in colour, do not continue.

Remove any spills immediately

DO NOT scrub with a stiff brush

Use a clean cloth to blot out any excess liquid

Avoid using excess water as this may result in a water stain

Allow the fabric to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight

Steam cleaning

We recommend leaving deep cleaning of your Rio Sofa bed to the professionals and finding a local upholstery cleaning company to do the job.

Fabric protector

We can’t guarantee the performance of third-party fabric protectors, so we don’t recommend using these on your sofa. If you do decide to use one, please follow instructions and test it out in a small, hidden area of the sofa first, just in case. If applied incorrectly, these fabric protectors may discolour or change your fabric, which will not be covered under your 5-year warranty.
