QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
Is a higher thread count better?
You've probably heard a higher thread count equals better quality bedding. But the combination of the weave and thread count is what really matters. Choosing fibres with a longer staple length at an optimal thread count, as in our cotton range, allows more airflow than higher TC bedding with shorter fibres (that's also more prone to pilling).

What is a European Pillowcase?
A European pillowcase is a large square pillowcase that fits a European pillow. These pillows, measuring 65cm x 65cm, are typically propped up behind standard rectangular pillows on the bed to create a stylish layered look.
European Pillowcases vs Standard Pillowcases
European pillowcases differ from standard pillowcases in size and shape. They are larger and square-shaped, measuring 65 cm2. Standard pillowcases, on the other hand, are rectangular and measure 48cm x 74cm.
Standard pillows are typically used for sleeping, and European pillows are more decorative. However, some nations in Europe prefer to snooze on these square pillows.
At Ecosa, we sell both standard and European pillowcases. Explore our full range and take your pick.

Why Should I Buy a European Pillowcase?
Euro pillows are a smart investment for elevated style and comfort. Placed behind your standard pillows, they give your bed a sophisticated layered look. They’re also ideal for added back support and comfort when reading or scrolling (not that we’d recommend that) in bed.
How To Style a European Pillowcase
Depending on the size of your bed and whether you prefer a luxurious or more minimalist feel, there are lots of different pillow arrangements you can try using Euros, standard and decorative pillows.
In most cases, a pair of European pillows is used for symmetry. For a classic, understated look, lean your Euros against the bedhead, then rest a standard pillow against each Euro for balance. You can also add one or two decorative cushions in front.
Complementary colours create cohesion. Or you can add interest with printed or patterned pillowcases on one or more of the layers.
